2011-2012 Tanbridge Academy Golf Tournament
We had perfect weather for the 2011-2012 Tanbridge Golf Tournament. Thanks in part to mother nature, the golfers, Tanbridge staff and TAPA members, it was a great success!
KidSport Equipment Drive
On October 14th the students and staff at Tanbridge Academy
participated in a used equipment drive for KidSport Calgary bringing in both new and used sporting equipment for those in need. Thank you to all of the families that participated. This event was a huge
success!
A special thank you to Mitchell and Matthew Kelm for involving us
in a great cause that they have dedicated their time to over the years. We are honored to share in this opportunity.
Tanbridge Academy became involved with KidSport thanks to Ms. Grant and her organization of the casual day funds from the 2010-2011 school year. A total of $708.50 was donated in June of
2011. The casual day funds raised during the current school year will also be donated to the KidSport Calgary program.

Meals On Wheels
Tanbridge Academy has partnered up with Calgary Meals on Wheels for the
2011-2012 School year. This partnership involves the Upper Junior High students
delivering meals to those in need every Monday and Wednesday. The elementary students will have the opportunity to be involved through a variety of in-house activities to support the program starting with the Christmas Cards initiative. Although this is a fairly new experience for the students and staff, the feedback has been very positive. We are excited to be a part of this great cause.
Ronald McDonald House Southern Alberta
The students and staff at Tanbridge Academy are dedicated to Pulling Together for the Ronald McDonald Houses of Southern Alberta charity through the Pull Tab program.
With the help of our good friends Pully and Tabo, each homeroom has been set up to collect pull tabs throughout the 2011-2012 school year. These pull tabs will be donated to the Ronald McDonald Houses of Southern Alberta to support the families that visit the Southern Alberta locations.
On October 13th, a representative from the Ronald McDonald House Charity spoke to the Tanbridge students about the importance of the pull tab program for the families that visit their facilities. The assembly was both informative and encouraging. The students at Tanbridge are excited about their involvement and are always up for a challenge. We welcome and encourage involvement from the Tanbridge Community.

Veteran's Food Drive
The
2011-2012 Veteran's Food Drive is up and running as of November 1. Showing our support for
those who made sacrifices that allow us to
enjoy the freedom we have today is important to the students and staff at
Tanbridge Academy.
To ensure that our involvement in supporting the Veteran's is a success, we have arranged a schedule to help with organization. Thank you to all of the families who have sent items to the school.
Week of November 1st to 4th: Canned Soups and Stews, Canned Fruits and Vegetables
Week of November 8th and 9th: Rice, Canned Meats and Fish
Week of November 14th to 18th: Fruit Juices, Pasta Sauce and Pasta
Representatives from the organization will be visiting Tanbridge for collection on Friday, November 18th. We want to take this opportunity to thank all of the families for their support with this cause.
